ABOUT HEATHER

Hi, there!

My name is Heather Quintana.

I want to change the world.

But I also just want to watch TV.

Like a lot of people, I crave a life of meaning and courage. But I also really enjoy being comfortable—safe and sound right where I am.

Over the years, though, I’ve learned that a life that is too comfortable leaves me, well, uncomfortable—and restless. In other words, I think we’re made for more than our sofas. We don’t feel fully alive until we get up and do something brave and beautiful with our lives.

Here’s what I’m doing with my life right now:

I am the editor of Vibrant Life, an award-winning magazine and the oldest health magazine in the nation. I have the fun job of dreaming up ways to present information that will help people improve all aspects of their health—physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual.

I am a writer who has been published in numerous publications and websites, and I am the author of Momentum, a daily devotional book especially for teens.

I am a pastor’s wife. My husband Robert Quintana (or “Q,” as most people know him) and I met in seminary, where we both earned Master of Divinity degrees.

That seminary degree is pretty much the most expensive thing I own, so I try to put it to good use by writing and speaking about God, life, and love.

I have an almost frantic case of wanderlust (This beautiful world! Let me see it all!), so I travel as much as possible. I also love good books, hikes, and plant-based food.
